Abstract: The Hierarchical Taxonomy of Psychopathology (HiTOP) focuses on psychometrically robust symptom dimensions that are in close alignment with how individuals develop and experience mental health problems. The need for redressing mental health disparities in the Hispanic/Latinx community and the potential advantages of the HiTOP framework for clinical utility necessitate further research into the reliability and validity of the HiTOP self-report measure (HiTOP-SR) in this population. Recruiting participants in HHS Region 6 who identify as Hispanic/Latinx, results will provide evidence of the extent to which the HiTOP-SR is a reliable and valid measure of psychopathology symptom dimensions in this population.
