Abstract: The sleep health of immigrants tends to deteriorate as their time living in the U.S. increases and across generations. This understudied phenomenon is impacted by various socio-cultural and psychological variables that we poorly understand. The proposed study will examine the associations between immigration-related factors and sleep outcomes in first-generation Latinx immigrants. We will also examine how these associations are impacted by psychological risk and resilience factors. Study results can potentially increase our understanding of the psychosocial aspects of sleep health among Latinx immigrants and inform culturally sensitive sleep interventions for this group.
