Title: A Study on the Outcomes of Discrimination

Abstract: Posttraumatic growth (PTG) has been well-studied in trauma-exposed samples; the current study aims to assess both PTG and posttraumatic depreciation (PTD) following identity-based discrimination. That is, we are investigating the extent to which people report positive and/or negative changes in day-to-day functioning in response to acts of discrimination; we will further investigate predictors of both PTG and PTD following discrimination. We anticipate a more nuanced understanding of how PTG and PTD each affect outcomes following identity-based discrimination and a more nuanced understanding of how intersecting identities may impact individuals following such events.
